The short version: we do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Everything you enter in our apps stays on your device.
Who we are
HappyGophers LLC ("we," "us") is an independent software studio located at 2108 N St, Ste N, Sacramento, CA 95816, USA. This policy covers our website (happygophers.com) and our app Your Handy Camping Checklist for iPhone and iPad.
Your Handy Camping Checklist
The app is designed so that it has nothing to collect:
- No data collection. The app does not collect personal information, usage data, analytics, identifiers, or diagnostics of any kind.
- No network activity. The app works entirely offline and makes no network connections. Your information is never transmitted anywhere.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for and no login.
- No ads and no third parties. The app contains no advertising and no third-party analytics, tracking, or marketing software.
- On-device storage only. Your checklists, notes, trip details, and settings are stored only on your device. Backup files you choose to save (.campsave) are ordinary files under your control; where you keep or share them is up to you.
- Deleting the app deletes your data. Because everything lives on your device, removing the app removes the data it stored.
Leaving the app
Some optional features hand you off to other apps on your device — for example, opening an address in your maps app, adding dates to your calendar, or tapping a phone number to call a campground. These actions happen in those apps, not ours, and are governed by their privacy policies. We receive nothing from them.
Our website
happygophers.com is a simple, static website. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or tracking scripts, and loads no third-party content — fonts and images are part of the page itself. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider may keep standard technical server logs (such as IP address and time of request) to operate and secure the service; we do not use these to identify or profile visitors.
Children
Our apps and website do not collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Your rights
Privacy laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act give you rights over personal information a business holds about you. We hold none: there is nothing for us to access, correct, delete, or sell, and we do not sell or share personal information. Your data is on your device, under your control.
Changes to this policy
If our practices ever change — for example, if a future feature required a network connection — we will update this policy, change the effective date above, and update the app's App Store privacy details before the change takes effect.
